Ansel Adams

This picture taken by Ansel Adams is gorgeous. You get a nice bright white to dark greys and blacks from left to right. This picture pops out to me because of all of its beautiful natural elements.

Before private school, Ansel had troubles fitting in to public schools. He had a distorted nose and was diagnosed with hyperactivity. After being home schooled for a while, he moved on to get a "legitimate diploma" from Mrs. Kate M. Wilkins Private School. Other than being a photographer, Adams greatly enjoyed music. He played piano, and originally wanted to be a concert pianist, but realized that he couldn't ever live on that kind of money. When he got into photography, his first visualized photograph, the Face of Half Dome, was created in 1927. He was part of the Sierra Club, artist of Sierra, Nevada, and defender of Yosemite.

I found this picture pretty appealing to look at. I'd never be able to imagine a baseball stadium portrayed in this type of perspective. I like how you're able to see almost the entire opening of the stadium leading into the field. This also seems like it can be classified as a framing photo.

I love the scene of a city. There are so many buildings in this one! I think this photo is a full 360 degree panoramic picture. It has many conversion lines, and keeps you staring at it for a while.

There once was a face
in an unusual place,
sandwiched between bleachers and a white flimsy gate.
There was no one around
no voices or sounds,
he can't do anything but patiently wait.
His name is Billy Bob Schmit
filled with anger and no wit,
waiting for a human to eat as a meal.
Billy spots a human
a short stubby cuban,
walking his way dressed in brightly colored teal.
The hungry face gets ready
keeping his mouth open and steady,
about to gobble up this hopeless little man.
The face wasn't concerned
that the cuban has already learned,
about Billy and his horrific plan.
With a faithful leap
the puddle started to weep,
he's failed to swallow the cuban.
It's what he did best
he was better than the rest,
at swallowing any sized human.
The face watched the man grin
as he walked away from his win,
at the encounter with Billy Bob Schmit.
The puddle's face cocked
his expression surprised and shocked,
he was beaten with knowledge and wit.
No family for comfort
only hunger and slumber,
Billy's never had happy memories to think about.
Alone by himself
no job nor wealth,
all he could do was eat people and pout.

Name: Billy Bob Schmit
Family: None
Occupation: Jobless
Favorite Pass-Times: None
Hidden Talent: Swallowing humans
